Good Morning and welcome to Monday! School has officially begun and the students have started receiving their grab bags. The LACC interns are on campus all week working to get all of the participants names in the hands of the UW student body. If you happen to be on campus, stop by our table and introduce yourself. Remember, this week is the last week you can buy your Snowy Range Music Festival tickets. Make sure you stop in the LACC office and pick one up for yourself and a friend. We have 3 day passes, single day passes and student tickets. Call a head and get prices. We are glad to help you! Now, here is your Daily Dose brought to you by the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce. 1. Summer Program offers trip to see Hairspray at dinner theater. Summer Programs is offering both University of Wyoming students and non-students the chance to experience a live show of the musical Hairspray, Monday, Aug. 27, at the Carousel Dinner Theater in Fort Collins, Colorado. Winner of eight Tony Awards, Hairspray will introduce the audience to the hefty heroine Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big dreams and even bigger hair. Taking place in 1960’s Baltimore, the show addresses some heavy issues when it comes to the problems of racial inequality at the time. While the show is upbeat and hilarious, Hairspray uses catchy music and choreography to bring about an educational message about racism, pop culture and self-acceptance. Those interested in participating in the dinner theater trip will be able to purchase tickets beginning Monday, July 16, at the Union Information Desk. University of Wyoming students with a valid student I.D. may purchase their tickets for $20 and non-UW students may purchase them for $25. The ticket price includes admission to the show, dinner and transportation to and from Fort Collins. Dinner will consist of a salad, standard entrée choice and one non-alcoholic drink of coffee, tea or soda. A charter bus will leave the Union parking lot at 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon and will depart from Fort Collins immediately after the show. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come first serve basis. For more information on the Carousel...
