Happy New Year’s Eve! It’s time to celebrate, and bring in the New Year in style. Whether you like to stay in and celebrate with your family with good food, or go out and enjoy the city we have everything you need for a great day! Hope you enjoy your Daily Dose brought to you by the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce. Get everything you need to make a great evening meal at Safeway, (located at 554 North 3rd Street. Here is a recipe for an extra special dinner: Baked Lobster Tails Recipe, Source: Taste of Home Prep: 15 min. Bake: 20 min. Yield: 6 Servings Ingredients 3 lobster tails (8 to 10 ounces each) 1 cup water 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley 1/8 teaspoon salt Dash pepper 1 tablespoon butter, melted 2 tablespoons lemon juice Lemon wedges and additional melted butter, optional Directions Split lobster tails in half lengthwise. With cut side up and using scissors, cut along the edge of shell to loosen the cartilage covering the tail meat from the shell; remove and discard cartilage. Pour water into a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish; place lobster tails in dish. Combine the parsley, salt and pepper; sprinkle over lobster. Drizzle with butter and lemon juice. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until meat is firm and opaque. Serve with lemon wedges and melted butter if desired. Yield: 6 servings. Ladies find your perfect New Year’s Dress at Maurices, located at 308 S. 2nd St. and shoes to go with it at Dodds Shoe Company located at 401 S. 2nd St. It’s a great day to go shopping! Look through Walmart’s $5 movie bin, and find a movie to watch at home today with your feet up. Try out this hot chocolate recipe: Creamy Hot Cocoa, Source: All Recipes Find these ingredients at Albertsons! INGREDIENTS: 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder 3/4 cup white sugar 1 pinch salt 1/3 cup boiling water 3 1/2 cups milk 3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup half-and-half cream DIRECTIONS: Combine the cocoa, sugar and pinch of salt in a saucepan. Blend in the boiling water. Bring this mixture to an easy boil while you stir. Simmer and stir for about 2 minutes. Watch that it doesn’t scorch. Stir in 3 1/2 cups of milk and heat until very hot, but do not boil! Remove from heat and add vanilla. Divide between 4 mugs. Add the cream to the mugs of cocoa to cool it to drinking...

If you are in your 20’s or 30’s get out of the house and go to Laramie 20/30, a series of fun and diverse events for twenty- and thirty-somethings! There will be beer for sale, free non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks. No reservations required. Everyone ages 21-39 welcome. This event is at the Albany County Public Library located at 310 South 8th Street, admission is free. There is also a Laramie Women’s Club meeting today from 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the Alice Hardy Stevens Center, located at 603 Ivinson. Lunch is $5 or bring your own dish.
