Update on the LCBA

on Apr 16, 2015 in Uncategorized |

April 10, 2015 – 2015 has been a busy year for the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance (LCBA). The Annual Banquet took place on Thursday, Feb. 26 at the University of Wyoming conference center, with over 350 attendees. The evening consisted of a plated dinner, remarks by the LCBA Chairs, CEO Dan Furphy, a recap of accomplishments for the year, goals for the next year, and a presentation of awards. We don’t see coming off plans, we expect to fulfill our end of our obligations. Things are looking really good for our business” says HiViz President and CEO Phil Howe. The HiViz building is complete and the anticipated move in date is May 1, 2015. HiViz is currently in expansion mode and is projecting that by mid-summer they will reach their 5 year projected employment numbers. The most recent LCBA event was the Good Morning Laramie (GML) show. GML is a quarterly fast paced networking breakfast. It is an upbeat morning show that focuses on meeting new people, chatting with old and new friends and some good laughter in between. Every show has a different unique theme, Friday, April 10 show was an April Showers bring Super Powers theme, at the Fox Run Steakhouse & Golf course. There were over 75 attendees at Friday mornings show. The GML Award winner was The Albany County CattleWomen. Lastly, the LCBA is currently in...
