April Business of the Month: Toyota of Laramie
The Laramie Chamber Business Alliance would like to present the April Business of the Month honor to Toyota of Laramie
Toyota of Laramie obtained ownership of the dealership in September of 2015 with the mission statement of “Making a Difference”. They have made a difference by taking the previous inventory of 25 new vehicles to over 100. Their used vehicle stock increased from 15 to over 50. The rise in inventory keeps local shoppers from having to buy elsewhere and encourage other communities to shop in Laramie.
Toyota of Laramie has made other changes including increasing the size of the service department from two bays to six and now have six full-time technicians. They upgraded their parts room to a full-parts department stocked with parts for Toyota and other makes and models. Toyota currently leases the building on the corner of 22nd and Grand for car detailing services. Toyota of Laramie expanded their employment from 12 to 28.
Adding on to Toyota’s brand mission, Toyota of Laramie emphasizes making the car buying experience “simple, straight forward”.
“Whether you are buying a car or serving a car, we just want to make the process simple, easy to understand, no issues,” manager of Toyota of Laramie, Ian Roberts said.
Currently Toyota of Laramie is wrapping up their “Project Give Back” which is a test-drive program to raise funds for all of the schools in Albany County. From now until this Saturday, if you test drive a vehicle (no purchase necessary) $5 will be given to the school of your choice’s PTA. The top three schools with the most test drives will be given another $1,000.
Toyota of Laramie just started their Teddy Bear Drive which goes on from now until June. Teddy bears will be donated to first responders and to children in need of comfort throughout Wyoming. They are accepting teddy bears of all sizes. Drop off sites are located in Laramie, Cheyenne and Northern Colorado.
Toyota of Laramie also participates and promotes other fundraisers and organizations in the community. They recently raffled off a Rav4 for Ark Regional Services. They promote a ‘non-profit of the month’ and is a major sponsor of the Laramie High School. Toyota of Laramie has also been the live drawing location for the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance’s Hometown Holiday Hurrah promotion the last two years.
“We are obviously here to sell and service vehicles,” Roberts said. “But we try to spend at least as much time out in the community doing good work.”
