It’s beginning to look a lot like… Spring?

Spring thoughts may be bit premature in January, but with all the recent sun and snow melting happening in Laramie, it may not seem too early to begin preparing for greener times and spring projects.   An excellent and local option for ideas to kick start your spring project planning can be found at Centennial Woods LLC. They carry unique wood materials for both interior and exterior design work, and are conveniently located at 667 W. Flint St., Door 15, right here in Laramie. Fifteen years ago Centennial Woods was founded on green thinking principles with the intent to reclaim and repurpose weathered and windblown Wyoming Snowfences. Their idea has caught on, as they now are one of the largest providers of reclaimed wood in the world. According to their website the company, “has repurposed more than 7 million feet of reclaimed wood from Snowfence, saving Snowfence owners more than $11 million and avoiding emissions of more than 11,500 tons of CO2 emissions.” Centennial Woods has created truly beautiful designs all over the world, they would be an ideal choice for anyone who wanted to improve the od look or add repurposed wood to any part of the home. Their materials are also some of the safest around, as they are never treated or painted.According to their  website, “This means no harmful off-gassing or lead paint will make its way into your home.” Think green this spring and check out the distinctive materials Centennial Woods can offer. For more information and galleries of their work visit...

Sometimes you have days where you would rather not know what the plan is and just go about things randomly. Today seems like one of those days. With the weather nice but not completely warm it seems like a great day to relax and just enjoy those around you. At work you can share your break time with someone you rarely get to talk to or make a phone call to you mom or dad that you always put off until later. Remember to always enjoy your day even when the stress tries to get the better of you. Here is your Daily Dose brought to you by the Laramie Area Chamber of Commerce.  1. Grill Up Favorites! Tonight you can make dinner so easy by grilling up your favorite things on that BBQ that has had to sit all winter. While you are out waiting for the steaks, burgers, chicken, etc. to finish you can relax with the family. We suggest getting all your grilling favorites at The Butcher Block located at 1968 Snowy Range Rd. and they are ready to help you find whatever it is you are craving. 2. RELAX. Sometimes we forget that the best part about our lives is that we control them. Relax tonight and just enjoy your family and friends. You don’t need to do anything extravagant, just hang out and learn about their day, tell them about yours and remember that sometimes it is best to just make no plans. See you all...
