The list below was developed by the PEER Group to map items that are critically needed during this time to manufacturing NAICS codes. The NAICS codes that are in bold are the manufacturing NAICS codes most directly tied to the critically needed items. They are the Priority industries. The NAICS codes under the Priority industries, listed under suppliers, are the NAICS codes that are important inputs for each of the Priority NAICS.
Two separate D&B company lists were created as a result of the Priority manufacturing industry analysis. These are available in MEIS under the Documents/Communications section. One is labeled Priority Medical Industries, which only provides company information for the identified priority industries, and the other is Priority Industry Suppliers and only looks at the identified supply chain for each of the Priority industries.

To determine the Priority manufacturing industries, the PEER Group used a list of critically needed items that many Centers are using and mapped that to NAICS using the 2017 NAICS manual. Once the Priority industries were determined, we then used EMSI and IBISWorld to explore the supply chain. Specifically, IBISWorld lists the supplier industries tied to a specific manufacturing industry, and EMSI has a report that looks at purchases an industry made from other manufacturing industries. We took all industries which IBISWorld listed as suppliers and combined that with the industries where the most significant purchases were made from on the EMSI report.
